Editor of the Rivira newspaper, Upali Tennakoon was assaulted and stabbed near Imbulgoda while he was travelling to work in his car this morning,
police said. His vehicle also has been damaged in the attack carried out by unidentified men who had come on motorcycles.
Mr. Tennakoon had received injuries on his face. His wife who was travelling with him also was slightly injuired in the attack.
